Kashmir Retextured gratefully acknowledges the creative
commitment of the Kashmiri-American poet, Agha Shahid
Ali (1949-2001), author of nine volumes of poems.
He collaborated with the photographer, Rafiq Kathwari,
also a Kashmiri-American, on the text and the captions.
Those who knew Agha Shahid Ali will hear his echo
in every sentence.
