Lalla Ded, the
12th century Kashmiri mystic poet, said that poetry gave
her the "daring to take hold / of the darkness and
tear it down / and cut it into little pieces." And
thus with womens education, because of which they
have not allowed ideologies, even those they might sympathize
with, to deprive them of the right to cut the darkness
into little pieces. |
