One of the most
exquisite fusions of Hindu and Islamic styles of architecture,
the shrine to Shah-e-Hamdan (Sayidd Ali Hamdani) is as sacred
to the people as the one at Chrar-e-Sharief. A Sufi saint,
Shah-e-Hamdani visited Kashmir three times (1372, 1379,
and 1383). He was responsible for establishing Islam in
the Vale. |
